Port Washington Main Street Presents
Heart of the Harbor
Donate to Heart of the Harbor
The Heart of the Harbor has already received $150,000 of the $270,000 goal needed to make the project a reality.
We are excited to announce that the Heart of the Harbor project was awarded a $40,000 grant from the Wisconsin Coastal Management Program! The WCMP assists projects like ours in developing spaces to protect and enjoy the beautiful coast of Lake Michigan. The WCMP recognizes the Great Lakes as some of our most important economic, cultural and natural resources, and our project was one of only 39 projects statewide that was selected. This grant brings us another step closer to reaching our fundraising goal and make this amazing project a reality.
HOH Ornaments Raise
Thank you to our students and staff from Port Washington High School who helped provide ornaments for the Heart of the Harbor project. Technology Education Teacher Taylor Last and his students developed beautiful ornaments that helped spread holiday cheer while raising $497 for the Heart of the Harbor Project.
Pirates Treasure Grant
Port Main Street and the Heart of the Harbor Project was honored to be selected by the Port Washington High School students to receive the Pirates Treasure Grant.
Melissa, the Port Main Street Executive Director, was selected to present to the Port High students who then went on to support the project with a $2,500 grant that is made up of funds from the students themselves.
We are very grateful to be selected by the students and cannot wait to complete this project for everyone to enjoy.
